Call for Proposals for CU Expo

The CU Expo has extended the deadline for proposals for presentations at its 2011 conference to September 10, 2010.

The CU Expo is a Canadian-led Conference designed to showcase the exemplars in Community-University partnerships worldwide, and together to introduce creative ways of strengthening our local communities. Next year's conference, entitled, Community University Partnerships: Bringing Global Perspectives to Local Action, will be hosted by the communities of Waterloo Region, on May 10-14, 2011.

This will be a unique experience in which local and international representatives of NGOs, foundations, students and university faculty will be able to engage in conversation and together explore the importance of community-university partnerships. The conference program committee has issued a call for proposals for potential presentations, and the deadline for proposals has been extended to September 10, 2010.

It  would be great to have a strong level of participation from community-based researchers in Guelph-Wellington. Please take some time to visit the Expo's website at www.cuexpo2011.ca to get more information about this event and how you can become part of this very exciting event.
